The gene of this magazine is film this will be easily recognizable by the audience, from the title which clearly is called 'total film' this indicates the magazine is about films and it is also clear the magazine is about action from the front cover. this will attract the existing audience from the character on the front cover,as the characters costume is something which is out of the film and this will draw attention towards the audience.
The colour scheme looks like it stuck to the three colour rule, with white, red and gold, with the background being blue.The colours on the magazine link to the costume of the recognizable 'iron man'. Also the colours that are used are not very bright or dull, its just enough to capture the attention of the iron man fans out there. the colours used like blue and red are stereotypical of men/boys which is the main people who the film would appeal to instead of pinks and purple being used, witch would apply to girls more. The title of the film is in a font which is gold this contrasts against the red from the characters costume, and draws attention to it so the readers will know what the main focus of the magazine will be.The shot of the image is a medium shot, and also the image is centered so it makes him the main focus of the magazine and draws attention to it. The cover lines are in two different colours, white and also gold, the colours against the blue stands out, The white is almost highlighting the cover lines against the blue, it makes it look very bold and stand out.The masthead is on the top of the magazine and its almost blended in with the cover but still stands out because its white against blue and really goes well together, so people can be still aware what magazine they are reading.
The target audience for this film would be children from about 12 to adults around 24, the reason for this is because this is an action film and children like action films with super heroes ect and so do adults, the main audience for this will be men and boys, as this is an action film and they seem to be more associated with men rather than women, also the colours used in this will suggest that its more aimed at boys/men.
